What Are We Planning?

High Visibility Crosswalks

High Visibility Crosswalks

Alert people driving that people are crossing the street walking or rolling. These crosswalks can reduce pedestrian injury crashes by up to 40%.

Curb Extensions

Shorten the crossing distance for people walking. Curb extensions also help reduce speeding in urban areas.

Roadway Reconfiguration

Roadway Reconfiguration

This can enhance safety, mobility and access by adding facilities for all road users. Studies show that roadway reconfigurations have reduced crashes by 19-47% where implemented.
